Overview:

Dream Space Architects, under the leadership of Ar. Mahendra Thakur, has been providing clients with innovative & high-quality architectural services for more than 14+ years. After successfully delivering over 812 + projects the company achieved good reputation in Pune & decided to take the company next step, relocating to a bigger office space. Thus, DSA decided to undergo a rebranding effort to revamp its image and better communicate its value proposition to potential customers.

Challenge:

The company needed to modernize its brand to better with the essence of previous brand identity. As an architect, having a strong brand identity that aligns with your values, style, and approach is essential to standing out in a crowded field and attracting the right clientele.

Solution of re-branding:
The re-branding process commenced by conducting a comprehensive evaluation and investigation of the company’s current brand identity, target audience, market, competitors, and established brand image. The logo mark is customised by brand name initials ‘D’ ‘S’ ‘A’ – Dream Space Architects for better recall value & creating a memorable brand image in the minds of target group.
Design Direction:

Establishing the brand foundation by creating communication collaterals like office stationery and company profile. A guide book incorporating the brand’s philosophy, their core values, vision and mission and the founders journey was created and presented to the internal design team of DSA. There were extensive brand collaterals like the uniform, ID cards and office stationery designed and print consulted by Design Quarry to achieve a cohesive outer look for this company of professionals.

Problems identified during the website audit:

The existing website of Dream Space Architects, an architectural firm was plagued by several critical issues that required a comprehensive redesign.

Visual appeal:

A black colour interface hampered readability and accessibility for users due to the poor contrast between text and background elements. The legibility of the fonts was also compromised due to size, style, or spacing issues, further hindering the effective communication of information. In addition, the website suffered from inconsistent typography, with multiple fonts, sizes, or styles used, resulting in a disjointed appearance that undermined the overall professionalism.

Navigation:

Another problem lay in the lack of hierarchy, where important information failed to stand out or be easily distinguishable. The website’s complex navigation and user interface presented significant challenges for users seeking information, as the design is confusing and inhibited efficient information retrieval.

Brand Communication:

Inconsistency in branding was another notable problem, as the website design failed to align with the architectural firm’s established branding guidelines set by Design Quarry. This inconsistency was undermining brand recognition and cohesion.

The limited visual appeal of the website failed to effectively capture visitors’ attention or showcase the architectural firm’s expertise and creativity. The design and visuals lack the necessary impact and fail to leave a lasting impression on potential clients. Given these identified problems, a redesign of the architectural firm’s website was crucial.

Solution of re-designing website:

As a strategy to create a UI with appropriate visual cues, A new design was created that focused on improving contrast, enhancing font legibility, maintaining consistency in typography, establishing a clear hierarchy of information, implementing proper whitespace, utilizing high-quality and relevant imagery, simplifying navigation and user interface, organizing content effectively, improving loading speed, optimizing for search engines, aligning with branding guidelines, and creating a visually appealing and captivating design that accurately reflects the firm’s expertise and professionalism.

Visually appealing information is essential for attracting potential customers in the architectural and interior design profession. Design team used social media management tools to produce high-quality photographs and videos showcasing the firm’s design projects, emphasising the aesthetics, utility, and craftsmanship. This helped the team maintain a consistent presence and engage the audience.
